About Mid-Atlantic Warranty Corporation

Mid-Atlantic Warranty CorporationMid Atlantic Warranty Corporation (MAWC) provides warranties for automobiles. There are certain requirements as well as terms and conditions that must be followed in order to be accepted into the Mid-Atlantic Warranty program. Established in 1999 in Wilmington, Delaware, Mid Atlantic Warranty Corporation services customers in Delaware, New Jersey, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

As a warranty provider, Mid Atlantic Warranty Corporation offers two types of coverage: Comprehensive Plus and Power Train. The type of coverage that is purchased determines what items on the vehicle are covered. If consumers are having a problem with their vehicle, MAWC recommends that they first notify MAWC, who will direct them to the nearest authorized repair facility that is certified by the National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). An ASE-certified technician will then inspect the vehicle, including tracking for mileage and ensuring the odometer works properly, and provide an estimate of damages and repairs to be made. Once an estimate is given, and the repairs are determined to be covered components, the client has the option to take the vehicle to any ASE-certified repair facility, as long as the facility is properly bonded and insured.

Mid Atlantic Warranty Corporation was founded by Felix Coreano, a car enthusiast who began working in the automotive industry in 1987. Having begun his career working as a detailer at a used car dealership, Mr. Coreano joined the sales department at the dealership and worked his way up to manager in just three years. Eventually, he was named partner and began offering extended warranties to his clients in the late 1980s. Mr. Coreano then went to work in the wholesale used car industry and served as a regional sales manager for a warranty company in Pennsylvania. It was at this time that Mr. Coreano realized he could better service his clients by starting his own company, and MAWC was founded shortly after.
